I was born and raised in Switzerland. I`m a certified Baker, Pastry Chef. I have worked in my profession for almost 40 years.

Jennifer Adams

I have had a number of small businesses over the years and very few job, jobs. Most of my experience is as a self employed entrepreneur. My last highly successful company was called Home Aid Restorations Ltd which I ran and co-owned with my ex husband doing Fire and Flood Insurance Restoration. I have had a Real Estate Development Company Called King Street NW Development Company and a manufacturing company making up to 10,000 bars of soap a month called Kootenay Valley Soap Company. I have worked at Health Food Stores and even sold shoes for Foot Locker for a summer. My very first job was at McDonalds.

Joe Small

I am a retired educator. My entire career was in education - 18 years as an intermediate teacher, 17 years as an Elementary School Administrator and lastly 4 years as a School Trustee. After 18 years in the classroom which stretched over two provinces and three school districts, I moved to Kamloops in 1996 as the vice-principal at Parkcrest Elementary. In 1997, I was appointed principal of Pinantan Elementary where I remained for four years. In 2001, I was given the honour of being Pacific Way Elementary's Inaugural Principal. After six years at Pacific Way, I transferred to Summit Elementary for three years and then in 2010 I was assigned Arthur Stevenson Elementary which I retired from in 2013. In 2014, I was elected to the Kamloops-Thompson School board to which I am running for re-election for another four year term.

Stephen Karpuk

I am presently at Doctor of Chiropractic and opened my own office 15 years ago as a tenant. 6 years ago I had the opportunity to expand and buy my own space. I learned a lot about how hard it can be to do lease-hold improvements, red tape, finances etc. I pay a livable wage to my 2 staff and provide space for 2 other independent health care professionals.

My prior work experience was in the forestry and planning area. I have also worked in the health supplements industry, retail, warehouse industry (chocolate factory.. yum!), and I have been a newspaper delivery kid.

I am currently working as a red seal electrician at Advanced Electrical Systems here in Kamloops.

I am fortunate to have an employer that supports me and is willing to allow me to work my hours around the requirements of council.

Adam Jensen

I have had several long-term jobs and a few short-term jobs in this community. In reverse order, they go like this; Street Maintenance and Street marking technician with the City of Kamloops, Sign Technician with the Ministry of Transportation, Lifeguard with the City of Kamloops. The next three jobs I had at the same time Toys 'R' Us sales representative, Lifeguard with the YMCA, Labour with the City of Kamloops.
