Biography

I’m Heather Grieve and I am running for school board trustee in the October 20th Civic Election.

I am 47 years old and I have lived in Kamloops since I was age 6. I graduated from
Kam-High in 1989 and went on to complete my bachelor degree at what is now known as TRU. I have been very active in sports, both playing and coaching. I have an amazing 11 year old daughter and believe that she and I are better people because of the incredible experiences we have had within the school system.

In terms of my values, I am very committed to public education. I have been an involved parent, and volunteer coach this past year at David Thompson Elementary. I will bring to the board my commitment to strong educational programming and my desire to represent community members with integrity.

I am hard working and have strong communication skills, both written and oral. I have 22 years experience in the field of Mental Health, 5 years specifically working with children and families. I am committed to advocating for collaboration with parents, as well as fine arts programming and school athletics.

As a board member I will be collaborative, transparent and I will make well informed decisions.
